RUSH AT TUAPEKA.
(From our own Correspondent.) March 12, 18-52. For some time pasta considerable number of miners have b'jen working on the Flat which runs from Gabriel's and Wetherstoue'rf, ami adjoins the junction of the creeks from the aforementioned places with the Tuapeka river. Gold has been found all over the Flat, and in pome instances very rich. A party of two obtained 40 ozs, as the result of three days washing. We have beard of other instances of success, but the great majority uf the miners look upjn this ground as a place where " tucker can be obtained without the chance of any great finds. In this opinion late yields have proved them to be mistakes, and, consequently, large numbers of miners are settling down in this direction. The country abounds with scrub suitable for fuel, and, in some instances, of biifHeient thickness to do duty in propping the rotten ground.
