Original Correspondence.
THE "OTAGO GUARDIAN." To the Editor of the Otago "Witness.
Sir, — I observe in the prospectus of the above that the name of James liarr appears as a member of the Interim Committee,
I beg to state that, if this is intended for my name, it is entirely without my consent, and also, if such be the case, further to expi ess my decided reproba tion of such piocedure. On the part of those who desiderate a third paper in Dunedin (und on that I offer no opinion) it is certainly as unwarrantable as it is foolish and short-sighted. I am, &c. t James Baiu^ Stafford-street." -• " "" - „.*.•■.*"■"'•'*•""
