I^HE Committee appointed to give effect to the Resolutions passed' at a Public Meeting recently held in Dunedin, have resolved on an APPEAL to every individual in the Province. The distress which prevails in the neighbouring settlement of Taranaki, in consequence of the Native War (hundreds of industrious settlers have been driven from their homes, and having lost literally theif all,) is so general and widespread, as to be even mitigated only by the most liberal and hearty sympathy on the part of their more fortunate fellow-colonists.
