Settlers of the North and West Taieri Districts for the liberal patronage bestowed on him since he commenced CARRYING to and from the above districts, begs to inform them that on and after TUESDAY, the 23rd October, current, he will start his Horse and Bullock Teams from the Provincial Hotel Stables, Dunedin, regularly every TUESDAY and FRIDAY MORNING, at 10 o'clock. Parcels left with Mr. Forrester, at the Stables, will be booked and punctually despatched, and Orders for heavy Goods left with him will be attended to, and taken up at the respective stores in Dunedin. I^HE Committee appointed to give effect to the Resolutions passed' at a Public Meeting recently held in Dunedin, have resolved on an APPEAL to every individual in the Province. The distress which prevails in the neighbouring settlement of Taranaki, in consequence of the Native War (hundreds of industrious settlers have been driven from their homes, and having lost literally theif all,) is so general and widespread, as to be even mitigated only by the most liberal and hearty sympathy on the part of their more fortunate fellow-colonists. The Committee feel assured that all classes of this community will be most anxious to take a part in sympathising with and relieving a distress which might so easily hare been then? own. committee.
