AT a Meeting of the Cabinetmakers, Upholsterers, and others connected with these trades, lately held in Auckland, it was resolved to present a Memorial to the General Assembly at their meeting in May next, setting forth the injurious operation of the present Tariff on these trades, and praying for the imposition of a duty on imported Furni-. ture. The Cabinetmakers and Upholsterers of Otago are hereby earnestly invited to join in the endeavour to obtain this object by presenting a similar memorial through one of their own representatives.
