EUROPEAN NEWS TO JANUARY 18.

By the arrival of the " Pirate" on Wednesday with the January mail, we have been put in possession of intelligence to the 18th January and telegraphic news to the 2nd February. The " Emeu" arrived in Melbourne with the mail on the 11th inst., about 60 hours behind time, her delay being occasioned by the prevalence of strong south-easterly gales after leavingJVlauritius. The news received by this mail contains nothing of a particularly exciting character, but we refer our readers to the subjoined intelligence from the " Home News" and other journals :—: —
