JOHN TURNBULL 8c CO., MERCHANTS AND AGENTS, DUNSE, BERWICKSHIRE, SCOTLAND, BEG to intimate to their friends, and the Public of Otago, that they are prepared to take Orders for and supply the undermentioned descriptions of GOODS, for Cash, or Approved Bills at six, nine, or twelve months J. T. & CO. have executed numerous large orders for New Zealand ; they have thereby become practically acquainted with the style and quality of Goods suitable for Sei tiers there, and, from a long and intimate connexion with many families who have recently emigrated from England and Scotland, they venture to hope that they can select Goods in almost every Department of the Manufactures of Great Britain and Ireland, with the certainty of giving entire satisfaction to their constituents. I. DRAPERY AM) CLOTHING. In the General Drapery, Silk Mercery, and Men's Outfitting Goods, they are prepared to execute orders in the best style, having been practically engaged in the 'manufacture of Men's and Women's Clothing, and Wearing Apparel, for a period of thirty years. 11. BOOTS AND SHOES. J. T. & CO. are surrounded with numerous makers of these Goods, who are not accustomed to the manufacture of slight inferior goods, but who only make stout, heavy, durable articles, from the best materials, and they flatter themselves that they can procure Boots and Shoes, in their neighbourhood, better and cheaper than those furnished elsewhere. 111. SADDLERY AND IRONMONGERY. This is a branch of their business to which they devotegreat attention. The parties they employ are in their own town, and they feel assured that such is the quality and strength of the Saddlery and Ironmongery made up under their superintendence, that they cannot fail to please the most particular and economical of their customers. IV. AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS. J. T. & Co. are Agents for the most eminent makers of Agricultural Implements in England and Scotland ; and, from their experience and connection in an Agricultural district with landed proprietors and farmers, they are well acquainted with the most useful and economical Implements now in use, and can supply them at Manufacturer's Prices. v. garden seeds. In this numerical branch of Agency they have hitherto been most fortunate, and as they have acquired a knowledge of the nature of the Seeds best adapted to the climate of New Zealand, they can with confidence recommend their selection of all sorts, whether as regards the garden or the nursery. In conclusion, J. T. & Co. beg respectfully to state that they execute all orders under their own superintendence, and do not leave the articles to be made up and packed by others.
