GENTLEMEN'S DRESS EMPORIUM. MACLAGGAN STREET, DUNEDIN, OTAGO, (Nearly Opposite the Club and Royal Hotel), NOVEMBER 1858. TO GENTLEMEN, PARENTS, OR GUARDIANS. T BEG most respectfully to call your attention to the following List of Goods, Suitable for Gentlemen's wear, and solicit the favour of your patronage, should it only be for a trial order, feeling assured that it will be no fault of mine if it does not lead to further favours. The distinguishing features and mode of conducting my business may be summed up thus — The Lowest Price at once stated before taking the order ; The workmanship warranted, and a perfect fit gauranteed ; Al! Cloths (except Superfines) thoroughly shrwik before they are Cut : The Time in which Clothes are promised to be made faithfully kept ; And for GENTLEMEN FROM THE COUNTRY, or on a visit, who may not have time to wait, any Garment can be made (in ordinary circumstances) in 24 Hours notice ; Also All Ready-Made Clothes, and Drapery Goods of whatever kind, are marked, in plain figures, the very lowest price, from which no reduction can or will be made, being satisfied that the Prices are (to say the least of it), the most moderate in the Provinoe. To give an idea of the Prices of Gentlemen's Clothes, it may be stated that — A Stipetfine Black Coat can be made to order for £3 3s. and upwards. A Tweed Coat from £2 2s.
