NOTICE. MESSRS. W. C. YOUNG &r Co beg to give notice, with reference to their advertisement of the sale of Captain Bclkirs' effects on the 14th current, that it has been found necessary to alter the Terms mentioned therein. The Terms will now be Cash on delivery of goods. A SERMON will be Preached by Mr. Grant, in XIL Port Chalmers Church, on Sabbath, the 11th inst., punctually at 2 p.m., weather at all permitting. Theme :—: — " The Agony of the Saviour in Gethsemane." ON SABBATH, 11th instant, on his way homeward from Port Chalmers, Mr. Grant will deliver a Sermon at 6 p.m., in the vacant Schoolroom, in the North-east Valle}'. Subject :—: — " The Works of Darkness and the Armour of Light." — Romans xiii. 12. MR. GRANT will Deliver an Oration on the " Apostle Paul : his Education, Genius, Character, and Travels," on Sabbath, the 18th November, at 6 p.m. precisely, in the School-room, Dunedin. A Collection will be made on that occasion to defray expenses connected with the Academy, and to procure a complete set of Maps, Charts, Globes, &c. Such as appreciate the blessings of an enlightened Education, and really desire the permanent continuance of the Academy, are respectfully requested to be present. A successful delineation of the character of this Illustrious Personage is a great desideratum in Literature, and therefore arrangements will be made, either here or in some of the adjacent colonies, to bring forth this Oration before the Public.
