PROSPECTUS OY THE OTAGO SHEEP INYESI'MENT Co__P__NY. fT^HE great success which has attended the J- Otago Property Investment Company, and the opportunities which, it affords to the Working Classes of purchasing land, together "with the natural advantages which this Province possesses for the profitable investment of capital in Sheep, the large increase, and the comparatively trifling expense of managing a large flock when once under the management of a competent Shepherd, have been the main inducements which have led to the formation of this Company. Its object, by means of combination of capital, is to facilitate the endeavours of those who may desire to become flockowners, but who have not the means of purchasing a sufficient flock to afford the expense of a separate shepherd, to effect a beginning v j Tn order to place the Society on a wide basity and that all may become shareholders in the Company, the entry-money on each share has been fixed at £1 per share, the value of each share being £13, to be paid up by a subscription of 2s. per fortnight ; the Company to extend over a period of five years. The funds of the Company to be invested as opportunities may offer for so doing. It is proposed, by drawing bills, payable at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, to mortgage the first year's subscription, and to raise a sufficient sum to place on the run during the first year 1000 sheep', and 600 every succeeding year during the continuance of the Company, assuming the sheep to be purchased at 30s. per head. The following Table has been compiled on the supposition that 400 Shares will be taken up, the entry-money on which will amount to £400. The amount of the yearly subscriptions will be £1040, and allowing the increase of the flock to be 90 per cent., which is a fair average, the calculation may be relied on :—: — •T OO OO CO 0000 £* oi Ot en cncn __ i° S° -T"' J53.?*J 53 .?* en >£.„-, co tot- 1 |l f| || If || _T<_« Sg 2s Sg 3<l ,ST d n paw {sen pa go '• *o J* 5* 3p* j» 5* |> ? : s • 3 • 3 «3 r : c : c 'a- i • .CD l w .OT.
