HOMING INSTINCT.
SHEEP SEEK OLD QUARTERS. The mystery of the disappearance of 100 sheep from Capertee (New South Wales), has been solved by the discovery that they had endeavoured to return to the paddock from which thev had come at Dark Corner. They had travelled six miles, crossed a creek, and were held up by fences in their endeavour to reach the old familiar surroundings.
The sheep had been taken from Dark Corner to Bathurst, where they were bought l>y Mr Cox, who conveyed them to his holding at Capertee. Later they escaped apd made off through the bush in the direction of Dark Corner.
