REPEAL OF PROHIBITION
SIXTEEN STATES GO WET. California and West Virginia to-day j'.fined the fourteen States which have already ratified the repeal of the prohibition amendment. According to early returns the wet majorities are approximately two to one in both States. In California a State amendment legalising pari-butuel betting on horse races appears to be carried by a. safe majority.
