HOKOWHENUA POWEE BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board was held at Levin on Tuesday, there being present: .Messrs G. A. .Monk (Chairman), A. eSifert, A. J. Pctherick. C. S. Keedwell, A. E. Hyde, L>. Richards, J. K. Hornblow and W. E, Barber, Mr J. A. Smith (Engineer) and Mr i". J. Hamsay (secretary and treasurer). Leave of absence was granted to Mr T. G. Vincent. A letter was received from Mr 11. Denton, thanking the Board for the concession grunted to the users of shearing motors. With reference to Mr J. P. Carter's application for power and lighting for a new SO-eow shed and a house on Ashlea Road, Tokomaru, the Chairman , stated that authority was granted for this some time ago and the connection had now been made. KAHIXAU ROAD. Mr C. llausuiann, wrote inquiring as to ihe possibilities of having the light ami power services extended along Kahinau Road, Makerua, by a continuation from -Mr Judd's. He stated that iwo new houses had been erected, and there was the likelihood of another being built.
