TO-MORROW’S PROSPECTS. HAWKE’S BAY AND PAKURANGI. (By L.M.M.) j Wellington, This Day-. Racing enthusiasts will have two hunt meetings to hold their attention to-morrow. Prospects for both meeting- are as follows: — ’ Pakurangi. Greenmount Hunters Steeplechase (about 24 miles). —Form points to the top-weight Mandate, but there is some confusion as to whether he. will start in this event or the next on the firogramme, the Harris Memorial Hunters Hurdles. In his absence Freyja and Foxhound catch the eve.

Harris Memorial Hunters Hurdles (one mile and a-half). —It is rumoured here that Mashoor will start in the Pakurangi Hunt Cup, but should he go to the post in this event he and Pennyplain will carry the money. If started Mandate must be hard while northerners seem to fancy- Spalpiko’s chance. In the absence of Mashoor and Mandate the prospects of Penny plain and (Spalpiiko appear bright. Sylvia Park Handicap (seven furlongs).—A big field will go to the post. Xrentham form points to The Sun with L'noco and Sir Mond his most likely serious opponents.
