►_ TO MRS SARGISSON. Members of the Plunket Society gathered at the residence of tho Mayoress (Mrs. J. P. Braadon) yesterday f»r the purpose of bidding farewell to Mr*. Sargisson, who leaves to-morrow morning for her new homo at Ohakune. Mrs. Brandon referred to Mrs. Sargisson in glowing terms, stating that she had been a most useful member of the Society, and that all were very sorry to lose her. All hoped; however, that Mrs. Sargisson would assist to carry on the good work of the Society in Ohakune. .Mrs. SargissoE, in reply, acknowledged the kindly wishes, but said she . was afraid that *he had been a drone, nevertheless, had boom a good advertisement for Plunket babies. She was sonry to lee leaving behind so many kind friends, but the kindly, wishes had made the parting much easier to bear. - The Rev. Liddell, on behalf .of the Literary and Debatimg Society, whhed Mr. and Mrs. Sargisson and family every success in their new sphere, and stated that never had M*. Sargisson failed to help in programme* wien called upon, further that her items had always been greatly appreciated by all. Mrs. Sargisson, he added, had always been a tower of strength in other directions. On behalf of the Society the Rev. Liddell then a»ked Mrs. Sargisson's aceeptanco of an electric iron.
