Dr. .Slater lias decided to leave Otaki early next week to commence practice at Island Bay. Mr. Jack Field, of the Otaki post office staff, was an Monday afternoon conveyed to the Palmerston K. hospital for treatment. Miss Liddell and Mr. Mills, of the Otaki State School staff, have gained admittance to the Training College, and will leave for Wellington at the end of February. Tho death occurred at Feathers ton last night of Mr. Harohl Tutbury, a resident of many years’ standing. Mr. Tutbury, who was greatly respected, was a brother-in-law to Mrs. Robt. Bcvan, of Manaknu. The deceased had been ill for some time.
