SMAS CHEER. Already kind friends have given eoniider&tioa to the local hospital patients, and among those >o forward cheques ate Mrs. Blair, of Otaki, and ■Mrs. Gillies, of Paimerston North, while Miss Wetbey has contributed a quantity of almonds and raisins. As the result of an ■ appeal ■by the Paimerston North Hospital Committee, assisted largely hy the residents of Levin, the §um of £lO has been forwarded to the Matron for the purpose of providing farther comforts for the hospitals.
