OTAKI STATE SCHOOL.

PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY. The '"'breaking-up" ot the Otaki State school took place on Friday, when the children attended in full force. There were also a number of adults present. Mr. Brandon, chairman of the committee, briefly addressed the assemblage, and stated that it gave him great pleasure to be present and take pari in the ceremony, which was looked upon as one of "the events of the year. lie congratulated the children upon the good reports received and their splendid behaviour, and in referring to the recent concert said it did great credit to the teaching stall and children.
