Mrs Spoils, who has been the guest of Mrs G. Evans, returned to her home at Feilding this morning. I The death occurred at Kongotea on Friday of Mary .Jane Bowe. relict of the late Mr John Bowe, aged 78 years. Mr; G. Evans has returned home to Otaki after a holiday spent at Otira ‘ I'West Coast) where she was the guest ■ of Mr and Mrs Brice. Mr Mledema, ox 'Wellington, is at present acting-manager at the Bahui Dairy factory in place of Mr P. Bennett, who is on holiday. hits Byron Brown, who has been staying at the Otaki seaside resort fo/ health reasons, returned to Wellington this morning. , The name ox Mr P. J. Small, chairman of the Kairanga County Council, has been freely mentioned in connection with the Palmerston North seat at the next general election. Mr Hoffman, senr., late of the Telegraph Hotel, Otaki. is at present on a visit to the township combining business. with pleasure. He is at present staying at the seaside. For some time past the late Mr Hannay had bees in indifferent health, and five weeks ago he underwent an operation, from which he recovered.
