Purebred Stock.
♦. Some time ago Major-General Sir Andrew Russell, president of the New Zealand R.S.A., inaugurated a purebred stock scheme for the benefit of the soldier settlers of the dominion. In a report to the executive recently it was stated that there were twentyfive bulls actually on hire to settlers m various parts of New Zealand. According to the report everything has gone smoothly with, regard to the working of the scheme, and every settler has expressed satisfaction with the bull allocated to him. There are several splendid animals available for immediate delivery, both under the scheme and for sale. The season being so far advanced, it is doubtful whether these bulls can be disposed of, but every effort is being made to do so. x Circulars are now being despatched to breeders for next season,,
