Wallace County Council.

The statutory meeting of the above wrs held m <the s Council Chambers on Wednesday, when the following Councillors were present : Crs. F. J. Dyer, H. Garden, T. A. Buckingham, W J. A. McGregor, H. Crawford, L. Cody, F, J. JLinsoott, W. T. James and fc". Fowle. On the motion of Messrs McGregor and Buckingham, Cr. Linscatt was elected chairman for the ensuing term. . On taking the chair, Cr. Linscott asked for the co-operation of all the Councillors m helping him to carry out his duties. He also tendsred a lieaxty welcome to the new members, Crs. W. T. James (Aparima riding), H.Crawford (Pourakiuo riding) and U. Garden (Orepufci riding), all of whom returned thanks, and solicited the support of the older members. AH: the members of the Council were appointed a Finance Cammittee, Cr. Buckingham being elected chair* man. \. : In returning thanks for the honour conferred upon biiii, Cr.
