A Chicago concern has perfected the device, and has started upon 13 of the machines, which i have been ordered by iwo of the allied nations. The new madhines, it is (said, can also be made of use m the digging of trenches. • Didn't Need a Man. — A famous woman novelist was once asked why she had not married.
