The mission thermometer was rising, 1 m the Anglican. Church, said the Archbishop of York, at the 208 th anniversary meeting of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, held m the Albert Hall recently. But it should rise higher. He himself had been making a tour of the splendid old churches m his own province, and he could not help thinking that they needed something to vitalise their view of life, a sight of the problems of Peking or the prairies of Canada.
