BARBER AND BALDNESS.

At the -Rhyl County Court George Goodear, a Rhyl hairdresser, sued) Mr Joseph Gibbons, a retired draper, of Rhyl, and formerly of St. Helens,, for £40 for services rendered and lotion applied to his head. The plaintiff's case was that the defendant's hair began to fall off, and he went to the plaintiff for treatment. He was treated 240 times, and charged 3s per visit,, and £4 for the lotion supplied. The defendant used to go to the shop for treatment, which occupied a quarter of an hour each time, with the result that his hair was restored. Mr John Barker, a "hairdresser of Colwyn Bay, said he considered that plaintiff's charges were reasonable. Mr Gamlin : 1 suppose you can make hair grow on the head of a billiard ball? Do you profess to be able to make hair grow on the head of the jury (some of whom were bald) or myself?— (Loud laughter.) Witness replied that he Considered it pos-sible.—-(Laughter.) 1 The defendant's story was that the plaintiff suggested that he should be treated. ' Defendant: I did not want to go bald. — (Laughter.) • The Judge (td plaintiff) : Cannot you do any good to Mr Gamlin (who is also partially bald)? , Mr Gamlin: I should be delighted.— (Loud laughter.)
