WALLAOETOWN STOCK SALE.

TUESDAY, JULY 21

Store Cattle.— l44 yarded, consisting of yearlings to two year old steers and heifers, with an odd pen of old cows, and for these late values were maintained. Yearling steers ,sold from 20s to 27s 6d, two year 'olds frem 36s to. 52s 6d, cows from 50s to 655. Fat Cattle.— 7o yarded. A small yarding, consisting of light quality steers and heifers. Thare were no heavy oattle forward. Bidding was brisk, and prices if anything showed an, advance on late values for good quality' but the demand for medium and inferior quality was hardly bo strong. A pen of nice finished bullocks made JBIO 10s, equal to 25s per lOOlbs. Best bullocks made from £9 to £10 10s, extra to £10 15s, lighter sorts £1 10s to £8 ss, inferior from -85 to £6 7s 6d, best cows and heifers from £6 5» to £7 10s, medium £5 10s to £6. -Dairy Cows. — There was a good demand fbr good young cows coming to profit, and these sold at from £4 5s to £6 10s. Fat Sheep.— 7so penned. A good yarding consisting of useful quality wethers and ewes with one or two lots of heavy sheep. The sale opened with a brisk demand, being fully Is 6d up on prices ruling at last sale ; but as the auction progressed prices came back again to those ruling at last sale. Best wethers made from 19s to 21s Id, medium Sits from 16s 9d to 18s 6d, inferior from 15s 16s 6d, light ewes up to 12s 9d.
