OPUNAKE BRANCH 81-MONTHLY MEETING The bi-monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket Rooms on Friday, 13th August. The following members were present, Mesdames I. A. Stevenson (president), A. M. Rose, W. R. Conaglen, W. RoacJi, H. Shields, 0. Lewis and L, S. Donnelley (acting secretary). Apologies were received from several members. Mrs. J. S. Hickey, bon. secretary, was granted six months' leave of absence.
Miss Edgley’s (plunked nurse) report for 4 une, read as follows: Number of new babies : Opuaake 15, Outstations 6; Visits to homes: Opunake 23, 86: Number of babies under supervision; 80 175: Pre-school children : 35. 47' I'hs July report read;
Number of new babies: Upuuako 27, Outstations 8; Visits to homes: Opunake 46, 128; Number of babies under supervision; 83. 188: Pre-school children. 35. 50.
A greater number of new cases has piade a very busy period. Colds, bronchitis and mild croup have been very prevalent. The following subscriptions have been received: Mesdames 0, Lewis, J. S.
