SPECIAL MEETING OFFICERS APPOINTED A special meeting of the newlyformed ' Opnnake Rugby football League Club was held last Tuesday evening. Presiding over a very large attendance. Mr. G. Potts congratulated players on their very creditable performance in their first matches. Further officers wer© elected and the full list is now as folloavs :

Patron: Mr. A. McMillan. Vice-Presidents Messrs. S. Williams, G. Riordon (Rahotu), B. Jenkins.

Club Captain: Mr. D. Coltart. Coaches: R. Eohaia and C. Bishop. Delegates: Messrs. A. McMillan, S. Littlejohn, R. Reynolds, D. Coltart and G. Potts. Committee: Messrs. A. B. Reynolds. D. De Castro, R. Hohaia, J. H, Lowe, T. Milner, S. Williams, L. Crofskey, D. Coltart and R. Dennis. Secretary: S. Littlejohn.

Mr. Reynolds moved that the newly-formed club be called the Opunuke Rugby football League Club.—Carried. Mr. De Castro moved that the club be affiliated to the Taranaki Ijeague Centre. —Carried. A short discussion on Club colours followed, all white with a gieen Y baud in the front and a short Y on’the back of the jerseys being decided upon. Mr. Reynolds advised that th© Domain Board had granted permission for the use of the recreation ground subject to mutual arrangements with the Rugby football and Hockey clubs. A deputation was appointed to confer with the above clubs and to request the use of the floodlights at the Domain for practices on nights when the Rugby club was not' using them. A donation of two footballs by Mr. Reynolds was appreciated by members.

Accounts totalling £5-Q-0 were passed for payment. Before the meeting closed a motion of sympathy with Mr. G. Holland, a member, who is at present in hospital, was passed.
