CLOSE N G DAY TROPHIES PRESENTED A good attendance of members and visitors was witnessed at the local Courts on Saturday on the occasion of the Official Closing of the Club’s Courts. A .Yankee tournament, two,rounds, was played, the winners being Mrs. J. Eagan and H. Otene. Mr. J. Roach, Club Captain, in the absence of the president, Mr. R. IT. Hughson, officially declared the season closed and presented trophies won during the year as follows: Men’s Senior Championship: Mclvor Cup, C. Thomas. Runnerup, IT. Otene, Mr. E. Julian’s trophy. Ladies’ Senior Championship: TTaumoana Cup, Mrs. J. Fagan. Runner-up, , Mrs. L. Jackson, Mr. E. Julian’s trophy. Men’s Intermediate Championship: Cup donated anonymously, D. Roach. Ladies’ Intermediate Champship : Mrs. Thomas’ Cup, Miss Ruth McLaughlin. Men’s Junior Championship: Emett McCann Cup, Tim Coupe. Ladies’ Junior Championship: Wallis Cup, Miss G. Taylor.
