FORTNIGHTLY MEETING CHILDREN’S PARTY The usual fortnightly meeting of the Star of Naomai ■Rekehah Lodge, No. 79 was held in St. Patrick’s Hall on Tuesday, the 30th March when Noble Grand Sister McCrone presided over a good attendance of members. •It was arranged to hold a children’s party in the Drill Hall on Saturday afternoon, the 10th April, On Tuesday night, 10th April, Sisters McCrone ? E. Wallis, I. Harvey, F. Mourie and H. Aitken are visiting Hawera Rebekah Lodge to assist Brother M. Harvey, District Deputy Grand Master, to instal the officers for the coming term. Hostesses for the evening were Sisters R. Hickey, K. Moune and D. Harvey. Competition judges were: Sister F. Mourie, Best Bloom; Sisters Wootton and A. Baylis, for the Butterless Sausage Rolls. Winners were: Bloom: Sister D. Allan Ist,, Sister Faull 2nd., Sisters E. Baylis and D. Harvey equal 3rd. Sausage Rolls: Sister Bowater Ist., Sister Pirimona 2nd., Sister McCrone 3rd. Other competition winners were Sisters D. Allan and K. Mourie. Sister McCrone was in charge of the “Bring and Buy” Stall and realised several shillings for the overseas parcel fund.
