OUTSIDE STAFF FOREMAN'S REPORT Mr. -J. De Castro, Borough Foreman, reported as follows: On the Ihaia Roacl 9 chains of footpath has been regravelled and a culvert put in at the entrance to Mr. Collin's residence in Layard Street, a culvert put in Mr. Baker's and one at Mr. Segar's garage in Havelock Street, also 8 chains of water table cleaned. Tennyson Street, 12 chains of the road gravel blinded and four chains of water table cleaned and a culvert put in at Mr. Gifford;s section. 3 chains of footpath in Gisborne Terrace cleaned and regravelled and the road patched. Napier Street, Domett Street, Allison Street and Havelock Street were also patched. A new guard rail erected at the creek in Dorset Street. Ihe entrance to Kleeman and Bishops' garage gravelled, culverts attended to, gravel prepared for maintenance, hedges cut. rubbish collected and water channels cleaned. Pipes made, 27; Posts made, 30. Pipes sold, 15. Inspector's Report The Health Inspector, Mr. J. W. Brimblecombe, reported that Inspections of Habitations totalled 3 (1 notice served); plumbing and drainage, 5; food premises, 4. toton'e Report The Sexton, Mr. C. E. Warner, reported for June as follows: I have put ml\ days on the usual cleaning up and I have also cut the hedge between the Cemetc/y and Mr. 11. C. Mann. I also obtained 5 concrete posts and removed all the dead boxthorn and put up 1 chain of wire fence. I will plant it with new boxthom and trees. There was also one burial. Ranger's Report The Borough Ranger, Mr. G. Marsh, submitted the following brief report: I have to report that three cows were impounded in the Borough duriiiQ' June.
