The Taranaki Tribal team challenged Ruahine for the Parihaka Shield at Manaia on Thursday, 29th May. Making ;better use of the opportunities that came their way Ruahine defeated Taranaki by 2i points (4 tries, 3 penalties) to 6 (2 tries) before a, fair crowd. Played under good conditions the .match. Was exciting. It was willing, neither side appearing to possess much, finish to their movements.
