THURSDAY’S RAIN
FINE SPELL BROKEN STORMY CONDITIONS The long spell of fine weather enjoyed in Opunake over the past four or five weeks, was broken yesterday when rain commenced to fall early in the morning. As the day progressed, miserable driving rain fell incessently right through till evening. The forecast is for improved conditions today, with only scattered showers, and there is still hope for another of those ideal weekends we have enjoyed lately.
