FITNESS WEEK FINALE

SCHOOL TEAMS MARCH

Ommake’s comprehensive programme for fitness week concludes tomorrow with a grand beach gala, at which there will be numerous attractive displays by the younger generation. Funds of the Opuuake District High School committee will benefit from the function, which is being organised by members of the welfare association and by many other interested residents. Marching by schools of the Eguiont county will be a feature of the day, handsome prizes for this event having been donated by the Mayor, Mr. A. J, Brennan. Some fifteen schools are to take part, and the display should lie one of the most impressive seen in Opuuake for some time. In addition, pupils of the local school will give an exhibition of folk dancing in the camp ground, and physical drill also will have its place on the programme. For the amusement of. patrons, the popular aide-shows which have been operated at the beach oh previous occasions will again be going at top speed, and the usual handsome prizes await the lucky one#.

To provide for the costs of or gnnisation, there will lie a small charge upon adult patrons for admission to the beach.
