EUCHRE AND DANCE EFFORT ON FRIDAY An effort to raise the sum of £3O towards the car fund is being made by the local branch of the Plunket Society on Friday night next, when a grand euchre party and dance wall take place in St. Patrick’s Hall. The Opunake branch’s share towards the car is £llO, eighty pounds of which has already been raised in the
past few years, and (he committee hope (hat the effort being made this week will result in the required amount being collected, j The cause is a worthy one and it is to be hoped the public w ill once again assist the Society in this appeal. Tickets costing I'6 may be purchaed from committee members. Good prizes are offerecf for the euchre while a dance for non card players will also be held.
