SURF CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
TABOR SHIELD. The public will have an unique opportunity of witnessing the best of Taranki's life-saving surf clubs in competition on Sunday at the Qpunake beach. It is anticipated that seven •learns representing the various surf clubs in Taranaki and Patea will compete. The personnel of the officials appeared in our last issue. The Tabor Shield, the premier event in Taranaki for life-saving will be held, the time of commencement for this event being 10 a.m. The Grey Shield (donated by Mr E. H. Grey, of Pungarehu) Tlie march past competition for this event will commence shortly after luncheon. After this event the water work for the Tabor Shield will follow. The water work for the abandoned Patea competition will be held last.
