The late Dr. Elizabeth Knight, a pioneer suffragette, who was twice imprisoned, left an estate valued at £248,000. She bequeathed £IOO,OOO to a niece who did not expect a legacy. Steel makers of Britain, Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxemburg have signed an agreement io eliminate price cutting and divide the markets for shipbuilding steel. Under the agreement only British steel is to be employed in shipbuilding within the Empire.
