THE LAMBIE SHIELD
COMMENCES TOMORROW. FURTHER ENTRIES. Owing to two late entries being received for the aboA’e tournament, the committee have been obliged to re-draw section one which will be played on the Opunake green on Wednesday and Thursday. Altogether, 28 entries have been received which constitutes a record for this tourney. Needless to say, the Opunake Bowling Club is elated at the increased interest which is evident amongst the outside clubs in this division. Providing the weather is kind, some splendid exhibitions of bowling will be given at Opunake, Pihama and Rahotu. the section finals taking place on the Opunake green on Thursday afternoon.
