NEW PREMISES FOR OPUNAKE.

The many difficulties which beset pa; cuts of count: y child.cn in their endeavours to give the hoys and girls :t secondary education, have for a long time been engaging the attention of the Taranaki Education Board and particularly its chairman, Mr. S. G. Smith. Thanks largely to his efforts, a permanent secondary school building is new ncaiing completion in Opunake and -should be ready for occupation in about a month’s time. 'lbis building, although not imposing in appearance, will be found able to cope with local requirements for some time. Over all it is 82ft by 31ft Gin and contains four rooms, besides the long corridor, or porch. There are two fine classrooms, one 30ft by 9ft Gin and the other 2-lft by 22ft.
