Mr P. Brophy seconded the motion. In reply to a question, the secretary (Mr Ai J. Brennan) said that if their estimate of the hoard's final payments was correct, the company would pay out about Is 3 1.3 d for the whole season. ' The report and balance-sheet were adopted after suppliers had expressed appreciation of the reduced cost of manufacture owing to. the work of the directors, manager (Mr M. Beattie) and staff. The balance-sheet of the store department was adopted after the chairman had commented on the satisfactory position disclosed. THIRTY YEARS AS CHAIRMAN Messrs M. Fleming and P. Brophy, the retiring directors, were nominated for the directorate. The chairman said he had had thirty years us chairman, and for some years now he considered that he should retire. He would like a spell. Mr Rutherford urged the chairman to reconsider his decision, and this he agreed to do. Messrs Fleming and Brophy were declared elected. Mr G. W. Rogers was reappointed auditor at a fee of. £ls Ids. Mr P. C. Smith moved that the Government should be called on to repeal the Dairy Control Act in its entirety. Mr P. Brophy seconded, and the motion was. carried unanimously. A vote of sympathy with the farm dairy instructor (Mr Croad) in the loss of his wife, was carried. The factory manager said he considered the services of the instructor had been well worth while. It had been a record year, both for output and grading, and he attributed this in great measure to the work of the instructor. The extra amount that had come to the factory because of produce graded finest was £.803. Votes of thanks were passed to the directors, factory manager, secretary, and store manager, staff nnd all concerned in the snecessful year, and to the Press.
