MILKING_MACHINE. 'OTICE is hereby given that the LAWRENCE-KENNEDY-GILLIES MILKING MACHINE holds the Sole Eights for the use of the Gillies Patent for admitting air into the milk passage, and that these valuable patentsare not licensed in any ivayfor use on any other machine. Intending purchasers are warned against accepting verbal representations which are being made contrary to the above facts, and are advised to obtain same in writing, together with an indemnity against liability for infringement. The verdict secured in the recent case, Gillie 3 v. Hartnett, emphasizes the fact that the Gillies patents "are exceptionally strong and valuable, and, as possibly farmers may not be aware of the fact that the user of any milking machine infringing these patents is equally liable as the manufacturer and seller—the Letters Patent grant to the patentee the sole right and privilege to make, sell, or use the invention —we take this opportunity of again pointing out that should agents continue to sell machines which are infringements, the patentees authorise us to state that they will be compelled to take immediate action against not only the seller of the machines, but also the users. J. B. MacBWAN &; CO. Ltd, SOLE AGENTS.
