Disastrous Floods.

Berlin, June 16. There were horrible scenes in the fl )oded valley of the river Ahr. Italian and Croatian railway laborers refused to listen to the warnings nf canteen keepers, when the latter fled at the approach of the torrent. The laborers seized wine and spirits, and seventy intoxicated men were drowned.

A number of villagers failed to reach the hills, and took refuge in trees, which were torn up, the people being drowned. It is estimated that at least 800 were drowned in the Ahr Valley.

Many thoroughfares in South-West Berlin are flooded from three to six feet deep. Constantinople, June 16. Great flools have occurred in the Hassaukaleh, in the Erzerum province. A wall of water swept away half of the town, and hundreds were drowned.
