Killed by a Shark.

Dcjnedin, February 5. A shocking accident occurred at Port Moeraki to-day, wheu William Henry Hutchison, civil engineer and surveyor, met with bis death under most distressing circumstances. He was bathing with his son this morning in about 4ft of water, when he suddenly said : " Get ashore quickly ; lam bitten." It seems that he had been bitten by a shark, the flesh of his right leg being stripped to the bone. He struggled ashore, but died almost immediately from shock and loss of blood. He was 85 years of age, and leaves a wife and two sons. Tbe accident was witnessed by his j wife and mother. j
