The weather was fine for the opening of the Bowling Green. Visitors were present from Manaia and Opunake. Ladies provided afternoon tea. Mr Hair returned thanks on behalf of Manaia bowlers and Mr MoFacfie for the Opnnake bowlers. The following is the result of the games played:

After the game a large number assembled for the purpose of tendering a welcome home to Mr Forsyth, who will arrive here early in January. It was resolved to hold a meeting, in the Pihama Hall, on Friday, December 15, for the purpose of arranging how the function is to be carried out. December 13.
