The Gairloch Wreck Inquiry.
Auckland, Febuary 2.
The Nautical Court in connection with the wreck has concluded. The judgement stated that the Gairloch had no patent log, ■ and the master trusted to his experience in estimating speed. The master commited an error of judgement in hugging the land so closely on a dark night. * The Court ordered the certificate of Oapt. Austen to be suspended for 3 months, and ordered him to pay £lO towards the coat of the enquiry.
