TORPEDO-BOAT'S BAG
JAPANESE FLYING-BOAT SYDNEY, Dec. 20. A most unusual - dvfail 1 of operations reported in week-end communiques issued by General MacArthur’s Headquarter’s was a successful attack by an Allied motor torpe-do-boat against a four-engined Japanese flying-boat, south of Gasmata in New Britain. The torpedo-boat shot down the /.aircraft in flight. This is not the-.' first bccasion on which our torpedodboats have defeated Japanese aircraft. Several were similarly successful during the Philippines campaign.
