Mr. B. Burnett and Mrs. Cave played for the children’s items and dances.

Misses Beryl 'Guthrie, Mary Ere"’, Valerie Russell and Shirley Sm.th, all as “Irish Colleens”, entertained with an Irish jig and later with a tap dance.

Miss Mary Frew and Miss Maureen Morris dressed as two ballet dancers sang a very sweet duet. The chocolate waltz was won by Miss Olga Henncssy and Master Craig. During the afternoon, Mr. de Montalk, on behalf of the president, Mrs. Morris, thanked all present for their attendance and all who had so willingly helped in making the afternoon tho success which it had been. Tho afternoon had been a financial as well as social success and the money would be well spent in such a worthy cause as the Plunket Society was. ; The afternoon then closed with the National Anthem. Prizes were awarded to the following : Best Girl under 5 years: Lannah Cameron (Scotch Lass). Best Boy under 5 years: Rodney Short (Golly Wogg).

Most Original under 5: Mcryle White (Caterpiller). Special prizes for under 5 years: Judith Murray (Eastern Princess) and Alison Cave (Pink Fairy). Equal for Best Girl over 5 years were: Carman Ash (Lavender Lady) and Susan Fetch (Quaker Girl). Equal for Best Boy for 5 years: George Ncwth (Bell Boy) and Michael Braac (Jester).

A special prize was awarded to Mary Frew as “Ballet Girl”.

Best Pairs were: Judith Henry and Lance Turner as Pierrot and Pierrette. Lynn Bunkall and Noeliue Tonic, both as Bow Peep The (.101l which was donated by Mrs. Button was won by Bcryle Guthrie.
