THE BAY AREA HEADQUARTERS AT ROTORUA According to advice the No. 2A Home Guard Area, the headquarters of which ; are at Rotorua, include tho following boroughs and counties: Rotorua, Tauranga, Te Puke, Whakatane and Opotiki Boroughs and Rotorua, Tauranga, Whakatane, Opotiki ar.d J aupo Counties.
Tho registration numbers allotted to the various districts (counties and boroughs combined), show that Rotorua and Whakatane will provide almost 50 per cent, of the strength, the figures reading: Whakatane 850 (550 in the county and 300 in the borough); Rotorua 850; Tauranga 7 00 ; Te Puke 300; Opotiki 500; Taupo 300.
