An Australian destroyer winch throughout tho night hunted an Italian submarine, Anally captured it at dawn with the aid of a British plane. The destroyer burst a steampipo while cruising with the licet and was proceeding to port for repairs when about 10 p.m. the lookout spotted life wake of a recently submerged submarine. A depth charge was dropped every half hour throughout the night until dawn when a patrol piano appeared, saw the submarine below the surface and dropped bombs, after which the submarine came up.
