AFRICAN AIR FORCE SOMALILAND POST BUILDINGS GUTTED (Newi by Cable.) LONDON, Sept. 30. A Nairobi communique states that the South African Aii* Force again raided Birikau, Italian Somaliland. Bombs hit the administrative buildings, seme of which were gutted. Other squadrons carried out reconnaissance flights from which there is nothing to report. All the planes returned safely. An Italian communique states: “An Italian merchantman was sunk by a submarine, which subsequently ly was sunk by a torpedo boat. British planes raided areas of Somaliland and Eritrea."
