BURMA ROAD AGAIN
CHUNKING OPINION RELEASE OF BRITAIN (News by Cable.) CHUNGKING, Sept. 30. The belief that Britain will soon reopen the Burma road to the passage of arms was expressed in Chungking to-day by Dr. Oong Wen-Mao, the Chinese Minister of Economic Affairs. He said that Britain must have realised that appeasement could not change Japan's hostile att.Lude as proved by the alliance between Germany, Italy and Japan. The leading daily, Takung Pao, says: “The latest action of Japan reicascs Britain from whatever treaty obligations she might have to Japan.”
