RAIDS ON BASES ROYAL AIR FORCE (New.) by Cable.) CAIRO, Sept. 27. A Royal Air Force communique issued yesterday stated that a large force oE bombers severely damaged the harbour and foreshore at Tobruk directly hitting barracks, wharf buildings and motor transport and starting a large lire north of the wharves. All the raiders returned safely. Royal Air Force planes reconnoitred the Western Desert and effectively raided Assab, Oacacca, Berbera and also Mctcmoa hitting three grounded planes and starting a fire which was visible 50 miles away. -
